Nimbus9 Alto 2 iPhone 17 MagSafe Case - Clear Blue

I'm not sure why this case doesn't have any reviews but I have an older Nimbus9 iPhone 10 XS Max case (the Phantom 2) that was an unbelievably good case so I came to the website to find another Nimbus 9 case when I got an iPhone 17. They didn’t have the same Phantom 2, so I decided to give this Alto 2 case a try. I was iffy on ordering because I wasn't sure about the ridges in the case or the white mag on the back because I thought they would both immediately attract and show dirt, but I'm so glad I ordered this.

Now that I have it, I see that the ridges are on the inside, not the outside, so they won't collect dirt in the way I was thinking. And the styling of the ridges is so much cooler in person too. They reflect light as the case moves so it makes your case look reflective and sharp. The case looks so much more polished and sophisticated in person than in these product pics. And the white mag is also on the inside, so it won't be gathering dirt either. Those two things really worried me but I see now this was already considered in the design, so they are not a factor.

This case is a great fit on the iPhone 17, all the protective ridges around the camera and the screen are raised just enough to let you feel the phone will be very protected if dropped. I got the blue transparent case and it looks amazing and matches perfectly on the light blue iPhone 17. The case is flexible, but sturdy and protective. I was specifically looking for a gel-like case because I like the feel and the grip. The grip is really great, no slip. And the case goes on the phone easily, but then sits very securely. I was worried this would look cheap and like plastic, but it’s just the opposite. It looks modern and stylish and interesting, but without being too overt.

Before I bought this, since Nimbus9 didn’t have my old Phantom 2 for this phone, I shopped a bunch of different cases (in person) and several more online. After looking at many cases, I had actually bought another more expensive case and had it on my phone already but something just felt off about it. The grip wasn’t as good as my old Nimbus9 case and also I just felt like my phone wasn’t as protected.

I should have been enjoying my new phone, but instead I felt uneasy. I realized my old Nimbus9 case was such good quality that nothing else was comparing, so I ordered this Alto 2 case just to try. The second I opened it, I already knew it was better. And as soon as I put it on my phone, I instantly felt like okay, this is it. It just felt right and now I feel like my phone is secure again too. I didn’t realize how much my old Nimbus9 case had given me peace of mind or how much I really trusted this brand from experience. I dropped my old phone in that case so many times and it never got a scratch on it. That iPhone 10 XS max is still in pristine shape from the day I got it in 2018 until now in 2026. I never worried about my phone at all. Never gave it a second thought when it was in that case. Until I didn’t have one. I’m so glad I have a Nimbus9 case again and I won’t waste my time looking for other cases ever again. Thanks Nimbus 9. I’ll be sticking around.
